The smartphone has been launched with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. Motorola is yet to announced whether the smartphone will be launched in the international market including India. However, in China, it is being touted as the cheapest budget flagship device available in the market.

Motorola had promised to launch a phone with Snapdragon 800 series chipset when Qualcomm had announced its flagship device. The company rested all rumours by using the Snapdragon 870 instead of the flagship Snapdragon 888. So let us have a look at the price and specifications of the Motorola Edge S.

The Moto Edge S starts at RMB 1,999 in China. It will retail in three different variants in China.

Starting things off with the display, the Edge S sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ LCD display with 2520×1080 pixel resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio. It is a 90Hz refresh rate panel that can go as high as 560 nits in terms of brightness and is HDR10 certified.

The processor is the latest by Qualcomm and it is being touted as the upgraded version of the Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC. The Edge S houses a 5,000mAh battery with support for 20W fast charge.

The Edge S is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports up to 20W turbo-charging. For the charging and data transfers, the device features a Type-C charging port. The smartphone features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor which also doubles as a power button.
